Lodenwalker since 1434

For almost 600 years, the Lodenwalker in Ramsau has been producing the finest loden and clothing from virgin wool. Particular importance is attached to regional and fair production.

During production times, you can move freely around the factory, examine the work steps and the techniques of the machines. A red thread shows the way through the production steps. Additional information can be found on boards at the stations.

A salesroom awaits you directly in the factory. Here you can buy traditional classics, sports and leisure wear, virgin wool blankets and accessories.

At the end, you should definitely treat yourself to a visit to the restaurant with Styrian specialities.

Mandlberggut

The only manufactory in Austria to combine two distilleries in one place.
The Dachstein distillery (whisky & noble brandy distillery) and the mountain pine oil distillery (mountain pine & Swiss stone pine distillery).

Museum Zeitroas

The contemporary history of Ramsau is presented in this museum. The main topics are the tourist development of the village, the unique emergence and preservation of the Protestant faith in the Catholic Habsburg Empire, i.e. the time of the Reformation, Counter-Reformation and secret Protestantism, and of course the topic of the Dachstein with exciting stories about the first ascent. But also the local animals and hunting are described in detail. Temporary special exhibitions from a wide range of social areas complete the visitor experience.

Children also find fun here.

Klaus the mouse accompanies the little guests through the museum as a mascot. There is much to discover - what is hidden behind the mysterious boxes? You have to feel it out...

The wool world of STEINER 1888

You will be taken on a multimedia tour of the factory: 3D cinema, touch stations, information monitors & an expert guide make the tour an exciting experience.

A look behind the scenes is definitely worth it.

Stift Admont

The largest monastery library in the world and a museum that extends over three floors and two wings.
